We provide support in the following areas:
Version Control Systems
Version Control Systems are used in order to keep track of changes and history mainly for source code. We have offered a Central CVS Service since 2002, since January 2009 The new Central SVN service replace the CVS service so no new CVS projects are beeing created and active CVS projects are encouraged to migrate to SVN.

Any CERN user can request a Subversion (SVN) repository for their professional version control needs. For more information, please visit:

Concurrent Versions System (CVS) is a network-transparent program that allows developers to keep track of different development versions of source code. It also lets a team of developers share control of different versions of files in a common repository of files. When a developer wants a particular development version of a file, CVS will reconstruct that version based on its records.
We provide two CVS Services:

Licence Monitoring
We run and maintain the License Monitoring System (LicMon) including statistics of license use at CERN, a product database and current usage of the products.
We also provide system support for the LICMAN and LICELAN Central FlexLM license servers.

J2EE Public Service
We run and maintain the J2EE Public Service providing a central server infrastructure for deployment of
java server-side (servlet/jsp) applications at CERN.
